Despite the soaring temperature which caused giant LCD screens to conk out, the SM Town Live 2010 concert held on Aug. 21 at the Jamsil Olympic Stadium in Seoul was a phenomenal success. About 35,000 fans attended the concert which showcased SM Entertainment’s artists. The concert was a record six hours long and about 80 songs were performed. SM Entertainment artists that took part in SM Town Live 2010 were BoA, Super Junior, TVXQ’s Changmin and Yunho, SHINee, Girls Generation, Kangta, Zhang Liyin, The Grace, f(x) and TRAX. SHINee sang “Stand By Me,” “Juliette,” “Replay,” “Ring Ding Dong” and their current hit single “Lucifer”. Super Junior performed cuts from their albums including “Super Girl” with Zhoumi, “Bonamana,” “Way for Love,” “Miracle,” “Dancing Out,” “Sorry Sorry” and “A Man in Love.” On the other hand, Girls Generation sang “Run Devil Run,” “My Child,” “Kissing You,” “Etude,” “Genie” and “Oh.” BoA performed “Dangerous” and “Let Me.” Yunho and Changmin were the only members of TVXQ in attendance due to the ongoing lawsuit between SM Entertainment and the three other members of the boy band: Yoochun, Jaejoong and Junsu. The two sang “Maximum,” which they performed for the first time. SM Town Live was postponed last year by SM Entertainment due to the said lawsuit.
