The controversial former Kpop star Yoo Seung Jun got emotional as he talked about his deportation from Korea and the Jaebeom scandal during an interview for the movie Little Big Soldier. Seung Jun signed a contract with Jackie Chan’s entertainment company in Mainland China and has been training to become an actor for the past three years. He is a co-star in the movie which is a historical comedy action flick that Jackie Chan has been developing for the past 20 years. Ironically enough, Jackie Chan’s character is a commoner forced into military duty who is the only survivor of a gruesome battle from his army. The only other survivor is the injured young general of the opposing army who Chan takes hostage. Seung Jun plays the brother of the general who is searching for him not to save him, but to kill him for control of their domain. In the interview done at the movie’s Hong Kong premiere, Seung Jun gets emotional while talking about his debut role and the reaction of the Korean populace. He said that he is concentrating on his movie debut and isn’t thinking about the reviews or reaction of the Korean media. He regrets not being able to tell his side of the story when the deportation scandal occurred back in 2002, but the media and the Korean public was not open to his explanations. Seung Jun said that he doesn’t expect forgiveness from Korea, but he hopes that one day he will receive it. Many have compared Seung Jun’s scandal to that of 2PM leader Jaebeom. When sharing his thoughts on Jaebeom’s departure, he was on the verge of tears. Having experienced something similar, he felt sorrow over Jaebeom’s situation and how it would impact his life. He can’t understand how anyone could not forgive a young man over such a mistake.
