Korean pop singer Kangta, former lead vocalist of the now-disbanded idol group H.O.T, wants to be your friend! Well if you have a cyworld account, you could be one of them! Kangta, who was recently discharged from his military service for two years last Friday has surprised his fans by saying that he will accept everyone’s online buddy request on Korea’s social networking site Cyworld. On the following day after his departure, Kangta held a fanmeeting at Seoul’s Sookmyung Art Center. Kangta, who recently thanked SNSD for being a source of his energy on his army life made another statement in which brought joy to his fans. He said, “I made a simple mini-hompy [personal homepages on Cyworld] where I will befriend whoever requests for it,” By his remark, one fan wrote on the fan club board, “This is a groundbreaking occurence for someone like me who has been his long-time fan” while another fan thanked the military for “allowing this change in Kangta.” Aw! A friend is one of the nicest things you can have! Anyway, befriending someone on Cyworld allows you to view his messages, diaries, and of course, private photos posted by Kangta himself! The singer, who is reportedly planning to release a solo album and hold a solo concert, is scheduled to meet with Asian fans at his upcoming fan events in Beijing and Tokyo. Yay! Kangta is definitely back!
